Persona and Content Marketing

A swimwear marketing campaign dedicated to conducting research on target audience, creating personas, and content creation.

Hawaiian Waters Swimwear was a marketing campaign for a hypothetical swimwear company. For this project, I was assigned into a group with Gus, Arianna, Michael, and Francisco. First, we conducted UX research on target audience, which included interviewing them and recording their responses. From there, we created our personas using the target audience and created different social media campaigns to target said personas, such as Instagram posts, TikTok reels, and YouTube videos.

The first part of the project was conducting research. We did this by identifying our target audience and surveying them. After we surveyed them, we compiled their answers into an Excel sheet and chose to make our personas based on the people who's answers aligned with what we were looking for. We created 2 personas based on a male and female demographic.

After we created out personas, it was then time to create content to appeal to said target audience. We had to choose with apps to use based on . From there we would create a variety of content, from TikTok reels, to Instagram posts and YouTube videos. We all played a part in getting our share of the work done. 

Despite the fact that it was done over the summer, I really enjoyed working on this marketing campaign and working in a group. I learned a lot of valuable skills from this project. Professor Alters really liked the work we put into it and she used our project as an example for her next class to see.
